Yogyakarta - Surabaya (by train) - Mount Bromo Area (Itinerary)
The trip starts with a pick-up from your hotel in Yogyakarta at 5.45-ish in the morning. From there, we will take you to the train station and you will depart by train from Yogyakarta to Surabaya. Later, you will meet our driver and professional guide at Surabaya train station and drive to Madakaripura Waterfall. There, you will find a natural 200m height waterfall with many spots relaxing your eyesight. Next, drive to the Hotel (check in). Then, you take a rest before the trip starts at midnight.Around 2 a.m, we will continue the trip by Jeep (4 WD) to enjoy the bumpy road towards Mt. Penanjakan which is the best spot to enjoy the breathtaking scene of Bromo sunrise. Driving down the hill, you will pass the vast sea of sand, resulting from the eruption of Mt. Bromo, in a 30 minute-easy track all the way to the peak. From the crater rim, you can see the active Bromo crater, caldera and the mountainous views of Mt. Batok and the highest mount in Java Island, Mt. Semeru. Also, you can find the Hindu temple reflecting the Majapahit Kingdom history. Next, you can enjoy the breakfast at a local restaurant. After finishing breakfast, the guide will lead you to next destination that is Madakaripura Waterfall. There, you will find a natural 200m height waterfall with many spots relaxing your eyesight.
