Yogyakarta - Surabaya (by train) - Mount Bromo Area
The trip starts with a pick-up from your hotel in Yogyakarta at 9.30-ish in the morning. From there, we will take you to the train station and you will depart by train from Yogyakarta to Surabaya. Later, you will meet our driver and professional guide at Surabaya train station and drive to the Hotel in Mount Bromo Area. Once you reach the Hotel you will have some time to spare at your convenience by strolling around the hotel, the nearby farming area, witnessing the daily activities of the Tenggerese people, or just relaxing at the hotel. Around 2 a.m, we will continue the trip by Jeep (4 WD) to enjoy the bumpy road towards Mt. Penanjakan which is the best spot to enjoy the breathtaking scene of Bromo sunrise. Driving down the hill, you will pass the vast sea of sand, resulting from the eruption of Mt. Bromo, in a 30 minute-easy track all the way to the peak. From the crater rim, you can see the active Bromo crater, caldera and the mountainous views of Mt. Batok and the highest mount in Java Island, Mt. Semeru. Also, you can find the Hindu temple reflecting the Majapahit Kingdom history. Next, you can enjoy breakfast at the hotel and return to Surabaya.
